An important technical requirement is that your computer be loaded with Tessel Mania! from MECC Software and that it be configured to load some Tessel Mania!. įrom the technical side it is necessary to be able to operate on Netscape, which is already a done deal. And its fun.įrom the mathematical side all one needs to know about is regular polygons and a few words from tesselations: slide, rotation and reflection, which seem nearly self explanatory. I include them in my Geometry classes because it allows students to show and share talents I never knew they had. Their appeal to me is that things that appear as beautiful and complicated are reasonably simple to do. If not, you can get an idea from the samples at the start of this unit.
